The research desk

Who compiles this, and how it is paid for

An intelligence platform operated by a specialist quant search firm. Free to candidates, paid for by employers. Stated plainly, because a pay figure is only worth what the people behind it will stand by.

Who writes it

The index is compiled and reviewed by the KnowQuant research desk, a small team of quant market specialists within a specialist quant search firm. Every page carries the index version and the date it was last reviewed, and we stand behind each figure on it. We will not publish invented bylines or credentials.

The review cycle

Vacancies are re-checked every six hours and closed automatically once they disappear. Compensation bands are rebuilt on each index version, and the market call is written weekly against a full seven-day window rather than a snapshot.

Corrections

If a figure on this site is wrong, tell us and we will correct it or withdraw it. Where a published number changes materially, the change is noted against the index version rather than quietly overwritten. Corrections go to the research desk at hello@know-quant.com.

How it is funded

Candidates pay nothing and are never sold anything. The platform is funded by employers through retained search and market research work, described on the employers page. That funding never decides what a band says: employers cannot buy a ranking, a benchmark or a place on a page.

Your data

Nothing you send is shared with an employer without your explicit say-so, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time. The full detail is in the privacy and data policy.

Weekly market movements

One email a week, on what moved and why

The dated market call: which desks opened seats, where pay shifted, and which markets tightened. Written by the research desk, sent Monday, and nothing else.
