These terms govern your use of know-quant.com and every service on it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

What the site is

KnowQaunt publishes market intelligence about the quantitative finance talent market: vacancies, compensation ranges, firm profiles, city market reports and editorial research. Some figures are measured from live vacancies and some are modelled or indicative. Every page states which is which.

Nothing on this site is financial advice, investment advice, legal advice or tax advice. Compensation figures are indicative market information, not an offer, a guarantee or a valuation of any individual.

Permitted use

You may read, search, save and share the site for your own personal or internal business use. You may quote short extracts with a visible credit and a link to the page you took them from.

You may not:

• scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk extract content except as allowed by our robots.txt
• resell, redistribute or republish substantial parts of the data or content
• attempt to identify an individual or a confidential employer from anonymised listings
• circumvent access controls, rate limits or security measures
• upload anything unlawful, malicious, defamatory or infringing
• use the site to send unsolicited approaches to candidates or employers

Accounts and submissions

If you register, apply for a role or upload a CV, you are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit and for keeping your access credentials secure. You confirm that you have the right to share any material you upload and that it does not contain third party confidential information.

We may remove content, suspend access or decline an application at our discretion, in particular where these terms have been broken.

Intellectual property

All content, data compilations, page structures, branding and code on the site are owned by KnowQaunt Ltd or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and database rights. Job advertisement source material remains the property of the originating employer or publisher.

Third party links

We link to employer sites, publishers and other sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their availability or their privacy practices.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site or these terms. Material changes to these terms will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, the site and its data are provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site. Our total liability to you in connection with the site is limited to one hundred pounds sterling.

Decisions about your career, your pay negotiation or your hiring strategy are yours. Verify anything material with the employer directly.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the country you live in.
