We assess people on merit against the requirements of a role, and nothing else.
Protected characteristics
We do not discriminate, directly or indirectly, on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. This applies to the content we publish, the shortlists we build and the way we deal with clients and suppliers.
Discriminatory instructions
If a client asks us to filter candidates on a protected characteristic, we refuse and we explain why. Where a genuine occupational requirement applies, we ask the client to evidence it and we record that evidence.
Job content
Adverts we publish are checked for exclusionary language and for requirements that are not genuinely needed for the role. We publish a pay range on every listing, because pay transparency reduces the negotiation gap that falls hardest on under represented groups.
Reasonable adjustments
Tell us what you need at any point in a process, including at application. We arrange adjustments for interviews and assessments with the client, and we do so without disclosing more than you agree to.
Data and monitoring
Any diversity monitoring we carry out is voluntary, anonymised, separated from selection decisions and reported only in aggregate.
