Modern slavery and ethical sourcing

This statement sets out the steps we take to make sure modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or our supply chain. It is published voluntarily, in the spirit of section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our business

We publish market intelligence about the quantitative finance talent market and introduce candidates to hiring firms. Our supply chain is small and consists mainly of software, hosting and professional services providers based in the UK, the EU and the United States.

Our position

We have zero tolerance for forced labour, bonded labour, child labour and human trafficking. We never charge a work seeker a fee. We never withhold identity documents. We check that every role we advertise pays at or above the applicable statutory minimum and states a real location.

Due diligence

• roles are verified against a traceable source before publication
• pay and location are checked on every listing, and a listing that fails is not published
• suppliers are selected on the basis that they operate lawfully and can evidence it on request
• staff are briefed on the indicators of exploitation in recruitment and on how to escalate a concern

Raising a concern

Anyone can raise a concern confidentially at legal@know-quant.com. Concerns are reviewed by a director and, where there is any indication of exploitation, referred to the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority or the police. No one is penalised for raising a concern in good faith.

This statement is reviewed annually.
